Celebration of Good Practice in Education at the LSE

Building on the Education Symposium in May 2019, the latest Celebration of Good Practice in Education  took place on Thursday 20 June (15.00-17.30) on the 8th Floor of the NAB.

During the event a new series of case studies of good practice in education were shared and displayed, based on the education and students' experience projects funded through the SEEF fund this academic year.

It was the perfect opportunity to recognise the contribution and commitment of our staff and students working to enhance education at LSE and to celebrate what we have already achieved, including the many wonderful educational initiatives that are taking place across the School.

Celebration of Teaching 2017

Jointly organised by the Teaching and Learning Centre and the Educational Strategy Unit, this event brought together all award winners at the school to explore synergies between teaching and learning and research at the LSE on Thursday 5 October 2017, on NAB 8th Floor. Senior academics and awardees and nominees discussed and explored how to improve/take the student experience forward at the LSE while sharing their teaching experiences/successes.

Click here to view our Celebration comment boards (pdf) - these were on display for the first time at the event, and feature a range of quotes regarding teaching and learning from across the School.

The Celebration of Teaching was open to all lecturers and teachers who have been recognised for their contributions to teaching. This includes the Student Union Teaching Excellence Awards, the LSE Class teacher awards, the Excellence in Education awards and the Major Review Teaching Prize. We thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their contributions and acknowledging the important role teaching plays in an academic career.
