The information on this page sets out our processes for assuring the standards of the School's degrees and the quality of students' learning opportunities.

Quality Assurance as an activity seeks to answer some very fundamental questions. How can the School be sure of the standards of its degrees and other qualifications? How can it be sure of the quality of the teaching and student support on its courses and programmes? There is therefore a very direct link between quality assurance and improving student learning opportunities: the processes of assurance and review enable the School to have a clearer idea of its strengths and weaknesses so that it can celebrate the former and address the latter.
