About me

Role

Rockhill is responsible for coordinating and administering all aspects of outbound study abroad ‘GO LSE’ including the Turing Scheme. Since joining LSE in August 2022, Rockhill is focused on providing excellent, professional and efficient support to students and staff in all aspects of the School’s study abroad and exchange activities.

Career

Rockhill began his professional career as a News Presenter and broadcast journalist at Radio Télévision Siantou in Yaounde, Cameroon from where he was sponsored by the Israeli government to attend an international training programme on Media and Civil Society in Israel. He worked for 4 years as Public and Alumni Relations Administrator at the University of Buea in Cameroon from where he was awarded the British Foreign & Commonwealth/Chevening full Scholarship to undertake a master’s programme in Public Relations and Public Communications at the University of Westminster. From 2008 to 2014, he worked as the Study Abroad Advisor at Regent’s University London where he was responsible for all aspects of study abroad and international mobility. Rockhill later worked as International Mobility Coordinator at the University of Bath from 2019 – 2022 and was awarded a Staff Recognition Award in 2020 for his excellent work and extraordinary effort in supporting students and putting the students at the heart of everything he does. Rockhill joined LSE on 30 August 2022.

Education

Rockhill has an undergraduate degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Buea in Cameroon. He also holds two master’s degrees - an MA in Public Communications and Public Relations from the University of Westminster and an MSc in Human Resource Management from Edinburgh Napier University. He is currently undertaking a doctoral degree programme (DBA) in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath.
