Students
We do not accept any requests for student IT accounts to be temporarily extended.
Your IT account matches your term of study, so if your studies are extending for any reason (e.g. extenuating circumstances), it will be automatically extended.
Staff
Most staff will not need their IT accounts extended, as they are tied to your HR record and thus is dependant on the contract end date show in it. If you are on a fixed term contract or are on an hourly paid contract your account will be automatically extended when your HR record is updated.
There are some exceptions to this, the following staff will need to be extended manually by request of their line manager directly to DTS Tech Support:
- Emeritus Staff
- Contractors
- Temporary Staff
- Visiting academics
- Project funded roles
