It is essential that IT items being shipped are suitably insured in case they are damaged in transit. All Departments and Divisions that have a DHL account now have the ability to select the option to insure any items that they wish to send by courier. Please contact the Post Room if you need to set up a DHL account. It is therefore no longer necessary to contact the DTS Admin team to process these requests.
Transfer of data-bearing equipment
Items such as mobile phones and laptops cannot be sent direct from one person to another. These must be returned to the Hardware Asset Management team first as they will need to be wiped and reset before being issued to the new user.
