I am Paula Beezer, wife, mother and grandmother. I have come a long way. My struggles havemade me who I am today with a smile. I am a robust, gifted and black person.

We all should know black skin is not a badge of shame, but rather a glorious symbol of national greatness. The powerfulness of our race, therefore we will have to fight every step of the way.

Our road will be twice as hard. We will have to work double hard to accomplish what we want, but we need to up our game in everything we do to win. Before I was born and it still happens now, we are fighting.

To accomplish whatever we want in this life, don't let others kill our dream or confidence. We, the old generation, have all been down that road somehow. Now we hope the younger, gifted and black would learn from us and keep the fight going.

If we have no confidence in ourselves, we are twice defeated in this race of life. With confidence, we won even before we had started. Let us remember the knowledge of our history, origin and culture to keep us alive.

Let us remind ourselves of the young, gifted and black:
Martin Luther King
Bob Marley
Nelson Mandela
Mohammed Ali
Aretha Franklin
Barack & Michelle Obama
Stevie Wonder
Donald Quarry
Oprah Winfrey
Serena Williams
