Head of Sustainability, Tammy Armstrong (she/her)

Leads the Sustainability Team, overseeing the implementation of LSE's Sustainability Strategic Plan.

In her role, Tammy works in close collaboration with stakeholders across the School, and is responsible for raising the profile of sustainability at LSE, overseeing the delivery of the Sustainability Strategic Plan (SSP), and working to ensure that the School sets itself suitably ambitious targets.

Residences Sustainability Officer, Dan Reeves (he/him)

Embeds sustainability across LSE’s managed halls of residence.

I work with the eight LSE-managed halls to embed sustainability within them. I manage the Sustainabe Halls Campaign in conjuction with SOS-UK which is a friendly inter-hall competiotion to save Energy, Waste and Water. 

I manage the British Heart Foundation (BHF) end of year ‘Relove’ collections, totalling around 8 tonnes of items annually and raising vital BHF research and support funds for cardiovascular disease.

I get to work on a really diverse range of projects within sustainability, and one of my favourite aspects has to be biodiversity in the form of the LSE Bees!

Carbon Reduction Manager, Emeline Sztrakos (she/her)

Responsible for carbon, energy and water management.

I oversee the carbon management for LSE from delivering energy efficiency projects to procuring energy contracts and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

I am also in charge of water management and water contracts for the School.

The Sustainability Administrative Assistant supports the team by checking and processing utilities invoices (electricity, gas, water, waste) for all LSE’s buildings.

Sustainability Communications and Engagement Officer, Will Ellis (he/him)

Coordinates sustainability communication and engagement with the LSE community.

In this role, Will primarily coordinates multi-channel and stakeholder sustainability communications, manages the sustainability engagement programme at LSE (Green Impact), and organises sustainability-themed events/projects. All his work feeds into the themes of the Sustainability Strategic Plan, particularly 'Collaboration' and 'Our School'.

Environmental Manager, Thea Hamilton (she/her)

Responsible for projects including our environmental and energy management systems.

In her role, Thea works to improve the environmental performance of LSE. She manages the environmental and energy management systems (ISO14001 and ISO50001) and the waste contract. She is often involved in ad-hoc projects the sustainability team work on, from events to guidance documents, as it is required as part of working towards the Sustainability Strategic Plan.
