Please be mindful to leave the space quietly if others are still meditating.12:20 – 12:45: Anapana meditation. A soft bell will sound to signal the end of practice.

Please wear loose, comfortable clothing, and we advise you bring a water bottle with you. You may wish to bring a blanket or shawl – you may also wish to bring an extra blanket or block to support your posture. Yoga mats will be provided to sit on, and chairs can be used for those with back issues, but please bring blankets, blocks and whatever you might need to sit comfortably for half an hour or so.

The sessions are run by Katy, Events Coordinator in the Department of International Relations. Katy has a background in Peace and Conflict studies and has been practicing Vipassana meditation for over 10 years. If you have any questions, get in touch.

Faith Centre, Desert Room

"Tai Chi can improve your flexibility, balance and strength. It is also a wonderful tool to feel more grounded and relaxed. It can be simply practised as a series of movements for health or taken as a life-long learning process. Whichever way, I find there is always something to benefit from."

These sessions are suitable for beginners or those with previous experience
