Due to the ongoing coronavirus situation, use of the main Faith Centre space is now strictly limited to worship and pre-planned programme and wellbeing events only. This will be reviewed throughout Michaelmas term. Find information below about religious worship that will be held in, or organised by, the Faith Centre this term.

Catholic Mass will be held on Wednesdays in the Faith Centre Desert Room at 12.15pm. Father Stephen, the Catholic Chaplain at LSE, will be available for confessions or conversation, socially distanced, before Mass (11.30am to 12.15pm) and after Mass (12.45pm to 1pm).
Mass numbers will be limited and will be held under strict social distancing guidelines, with mandatory masks and with no singing. In order to guarantee a place, you will need to book each week on the Eventbrite link and you will be asked to show LSE student or staff ID on the door. If you have not booked in advance, attendance cannot be guaranteed although you are welcome to come and see if there are any spaces left on the day. Friday Prayers will be held in the Venue, in the basement of the Saw Swee Hock Building from 1-2pm. Please arrive at 12.45 to enter the Venue.
They are open to LSE staff and students only and will be held under strict social distancing guidelines, with mandatory masks. You will be asked to show LSE ID on the door.
LSE ablution facilities are closed for LSE students. Ablutions must be performed prior to arrival at LSE.
Staff and students must bring their own:
- Prayer mat
- Shoe bag
- Quran if needed
If you do not have your own prayer mat and shoe bag you will not be admitted.
All Jummah attendees must follow all LSE Covid guidelines and the guidance of staff and volunteers managing the event.
This will include:
- Wearing a mask at all times (unless exempt)
- Maintaining social distancing at all times
- Sanitizing hands before and after Jummah
- Following the one-way system in the building
Places are limited and in order to guarantee a place you must book on Eventbrite in advance. If you have not booked in advance, attendance cannot be guaranteed.
By signing up to Jummah, you agree to let the LSE Faith Centre team know if you receive a positive Covid test result within two weeks of attendance, and you agree to answer questions about your Close Contacts during that event.

The Anchorage is a church for students interested in exploring the Christian faith in community, through study and worship and in acts of service. It is run by the Church of England, but welcomes students from all denominations and backgrounds.
It meets on Sundays 5-7pm in the Faith Centre Desert Room and will be alternating between in person and online. In person services are limited in number and will be held under strict social distancing guidelines, with mandatory masks and with no singing. In order to guarantee a place, you will need to book each week on the Eventbrite link. Online services will have no limit in numbers.
