The Digital Skills Lab are excited to announce an ongoing partnership with LSE Careers and international market maker Optiver for the 2024 Python Coding Challenge.
As with previous Optiver coding challenges, participants will focus on options trading in financial services, utilising a cutting-edge virtual exchange developed by market maker Optiver. Eligible participants will choose their own coding partners, before being integrated into teams. They will develop trading algorithms in Python, test and then optimise the algorithm's performance to achieve the best possible trading outcome.
The Challenge will be launched by Optiver on Thursday 18 January 2024 and is open to all LSE students who either have completed the Python trainings Python for Data Science: Fundamentals and Pandas and NumPy Fundamentals or already have acquired foundational Python skills.
The kick-off session will take place on Thursday 18 January. Teams will be allocated the week of January 22 2024. The algorithm competition will take place on Friday 9 February.
