Staff Support

Supporting staff with understanding our digital tools

About staff training:

We’ve developed a wide range of resources to help you build confidence with digital tools, all available in the DSL Learning Hub. Designed to provide quick, clear, on-demand support for the processes we use every day at LSE, the hub includes quick reference guides, short demonstration videos, FAQs, and links to further support—and is continually expanding.

You can also use Microsoft Learn to deepen your understanding of Microsoft tools through additional videos and short online courses (use the search function to quickly find the guides and resources you need).

Further learning opportunities with the HR Organisational Learning team are also available.

If you would like us to add new quick reference guides or process steps for Microsoft tools, please let us know by completing this form and we will review and develop these.

Microsoft M365 Support

We have developed training to help staff understand permissions and securely manage their SharePoint and Teams sites. Correctly managing permissions is essential for maintaining the security and integrity of LSE information. As SharePoint and Teams become increasingly integrated with other Microsoft 365 tools, it is vital to ensure that sites, folders and documents are accessible to the right people—supporting collaboration while protecting sensitive data.

This training is part of our wider Digital Upskilling Programme, designed to help colleagues make the most of Microsoft 365 tools in their daily work.

You can choose from the following learning options:

  • Quick reference guides: Access concise, step-by-step guides in the DSL Learning Hub for clear and quick support. Start by using our three-step health check to help you review and secure your sites.
  • E-learning module: Build your foundational understanding of how to secure your site and manage access appropriately.
