LSE ESRC DTP will use your name, department and email address to report on your participation in our training.
We can only process your personal information if one of the following applies:
- We need your personal information to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject (for example, providing data about external students attending our training to our funder, the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC)).
- We need to share information with your home organisation in order for them to carry out their official functions, (for example, providing data about their students attending training to their funder, the ESRC).
- We require your personal information for a legitimate purpose of LSE ESRC DTP or a third party, as long as that purpose does not conflict with your rights and interests (for instance, we may need to process your data to safeguard our network and information security). Please be aware that this justification cannot be applied when we are performing our official duties.
Additional information could be shared with your home DTP or institution if there was a cause for concern/safeguarding issue.
You authorise us to manage your personal information based on clear and specific information, with the ability to withdraw your consent whenever you wish. You can ask LSE to redact your personal information by contacting phdacademy@lse.ac.uk.
The data does not leave the UK.
Further information on how the School manages personal data can be found on the School’s website here.
