As an LSE Student Conference Ambassador, you’ll help us develop and promote our annual Interdisciplinary Student Research Conference, a space to interrogate how we approach research questions and disseminate knowledge by hearing from LSE students and alumni. ​The conference will be held on 14 June during LSE Festival week. 

Working as part of a small team of ambassadors, your tasks might include: 

  • Filming and editing video content for the LSE website and social media
  • Writing newsletter articles, social media and blog posts
  • Supporting the smooth running of the conference in June 
  • Editorial ownership of the conference programme 
  • Engaging with students and staff members face-to-face and over email to promote the conference 
  • Gathering content at the conference (e.g. vox pops, photos, interviews with participants) 
  • Documenting and sharing your own experiences with student research.

About you

  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills 
  • A creative thinker, able to use your initiative to solve problems 
  • Excellent proof-reader with an eye for detail 
  • Able to work well independently and as part of a team 
  • Highly organised and confident to handle logistical and administrative tasks 
  • Desirable skills include filming and editing video content 
  • Other creative skills like photography or design using Canva, as well as previous events experience, are a bonus 
  • All levels of study are welcome to apply.

Working hours 

Please note that this is a flexible, part-time role, and some weeks will be busier than others, but you will need to commit a minimum of two hours per week. Successful applicants should expect to come into the LSE Communications Division office on campus on a Thursday or Friday once per week during term time. Additional hours can be undertaken remotely.
