The LSE Volunteer Centre team organises lots of different volunteering events throughout the year for you to get involved in. You can find all our events listed below and you can book your place on CareerHub.

One-off volunteering

Afraid you don’t have time to volunteer? Or have you never volunteered before? Why not join one of our one-off volunteering opportunities and meet students from around the school whilst doing something good. Opportunities take up maximum one day, with no further commitment.

LSE Volunteer Centre Welcome Week Volunteering: Creating Change

Conversations Over Borders is a refugee advocacy and support organisation working on a number of projects across London, they are seeking the help of volunteers to send messages to welcome refugees to the UK, reinforcing a welcoming and supportive messages for communities

One-off Volunteering: Knitting for Syria

This creative volunteering session is dedicated to knitting warm items which will be shared by charity providing on-the-ground support for civilians in Syria who are displaced as a result of conflict. Here you can learn a new skill and make a difference to those who are in need of support.

Help ‘post a smile on a child’s face’ by sending a card or letter to seriously ill children and their siblings. You can read a bit about the children, choose to whom you’ll write, and then make a card or write a letter to help make them smile and feel less isolated.
