I need a new mobile phone line / and device

Please contact tech.support@lse.ac.uk with your requirements, making sure that you have consulted with your budget holder and reviewed the tariff information beforehand, so that the correct spend cap and bars for School use are applied. 

What mobile devices are available?

The latest iPhone SE will meet most staff needs, as they offer a solid degree of security and value for money.  The budget holder may request an alternative iPhone model if they are satisfied that any additional expense would offer best value for the School.

I wish to buy a mobile phone without a School mobile contract

There will be a "benefit in kind" tax implication and you will need to seek advice from the Finance Division's VAT Team before we would be able to proceed with an order.

I need a replacement mobile phone, what do I do?

Please contact tech.support@lse.ac.uk, who will be able to assist with your request. Make sure that you quote your School mobile number.

Do I need to return my old mobile phone?

All handsets must be returned to DTS for disposal or recycling if they are no longer required for School business.  This is to ensure that they are securely wiped before reuse or recycling through an approved WEEE disposal agent. 

Please ensure that you also submit a request to tech.support@lse.ac.uk to cancel the line. This should include details of the line holder and phone number.

I am leaving the LSE and my phone was purchased using Research funds, do I need to return it?

Yes.  All devices purchased using LSE research or operational funds belong to the School and therefore, must be returned to DTS.

My Department/Centre/Division is still being charged for a line associated with a member of staff who has left the School

Please contact tech.support@lse.ac.uk with details of the line, (holder and number). The request must also include authorisation for the cancellation from the relevant budget holder.

I requested a line cancellation last month, why am I still being charged for it?

Any phone line cancellations will appear on the next 2 months charge as we have to allow a 30 day notice period. If you continue to see a charge in the 3rd month, please contact tech.support@lse.ac.uk
