What is it and who are these appointments for?

A 45-minute careers discussion with our dedicated Careers Consultants who have expertise in disability and employment for disabled students and graduates.

Any current student or alumni (0-2 years post-graduation) who self-identifies as having a disability and is looking for specialist careers advice.

About these appointments:

We have used the word ‘disabled’ as a broad term to cover a wide range of conditions including:

  • Less visible conditions and impairments

  • Long-term health conditions

  • Mental health conditions

  • Neurodiversity or learning differences

  • Physical disabilities

  • Visible differences

In addition to careers related topics such as job hunting, networking, and interview advice, you can discuss specific queries related to disability including:

  • Your employment rights

  • When and how to share your disability with employers

  • Asking for adjustments in the application process or as an employee as well as how to identify the right adjustments for you

  • Dealing with gaps in education or lack of work experience

  • Identifying opportunities with inclusive employers

  • Finding employment-related resources for specific conditions
