Discover International Organisations Day (DIOD) is a day-long, on-campus event.
At DIOD 2025, you can;
- attend employer presentations.
- engage with a lunchtime panel discussion featuring representatives from across the sector.
- connect with organisations that interest you during morning and afternoon fair sessions.
- join a mid-morning fireside chat discussing the current situation within international organisations and what students can do to make the best use of time while the situation remains.
The first session of the day begins at 9am and the last session ends at 5pm.
How to get to LSE
Visit the LSE website for more information about how to travel to LSE on the day of the event.
Please plan your route well in advance using TfL’s journey planner and make sure you have also checked for any planned engineering works or potential tube strikes.
The Lord Mayor’s Show is taking place on 8 November so please also be aware of road closures and some bus diversions.
Registration: What to do when you arrive
When you arrive, you must register. Upon registration, you will receive your DIOD wristband, which you will need to show in order to enter any of the sessions during the day.
LSE students
You will be able to register between 8.30am and 3pm at the Lincoln’s Inn entrance to the Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK). Please ensure you have your student ID card with you, as well as a fully charged mobile phone and your CareerHub login details.
At registration, if you are a full-day ticketholder and not already booked onto the disabled / ND fair slot, to help us to manage the flow of attendees, you will also need to state whether you would prefer to attend the fair during the morning session (10am to 12.45pm) or the afternoon session (2pm to 5pm). Fair sessions will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis, so please arrive early to have the best chance of gaining access to your preferred session. If you are a half-day ticketholder, please note you will be automatically allocated the afternoon fair session.
External students
You will be able to register between 8.30am and 11am at the Kingsway entrance to the Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK), and between 11am and 3pm at the Lincoln’s Inn entrance to the same building.
Please ensure you bring, where relevant, your booking confirmation email and/or your student ID card with you so we can verify your identity against the registration records provided by your university.

Finding your way around LSE
Campus map and building key
You can view a campus map and key on the LSE website.
DIOD 2025 will take place in the following venues, all of which are marked on the map:
- Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK) for registration, cafe, most presentations, the panel discussion and fireside chat (Sheikh Zayed, Thai, Alumni and Wolfson Theatres)
- Old Building (OLD) for some presentations (Old Theatre)
- Marshall Building (MAR) for morning and afternoon fair sessions in the Great Hall
On the day, look out for directional signage and maps to help you move around campus, as well as LSE staff who will be on hand to assist you in finding your way.
Accessibility
For details including locations of accessible toilets and routes around campus, please do refer to LSE's accessibility map.
In general, the fair portion of DIOD is not bookable and attendees can turn up at any time the fair is open during their assigned morning or afternoon session (this will be allocated on the day at registration). If you are disabled or neurodivergent and would prefer to join the fair at a time where it is guaranteed to be quieter, LSE students can visit CareerHub to book onto our dedicated DIOD fair timeslot, and external students can book onto the same slot by emailing Laura Reid at l.reid@lse.ac.uk.
Please note you can only book onto this less busy fair slot if you've already booked a full-day place at DIOD. If you do not already have a full-day DIOD booking, your fair booking will be cancelled.
If you need support at any point during DIOD, please ask one of our event stewards (wearing red t-shirts) or speak to any member of LSE staff. If you cannot find someone to ask, remember you can always come to the information desk in CKK, where someone from LSE Careers will be available throughout the day.
If you require any additional adjustments to access this event, please email Laura Reid at l.reid@lse.ac.uk.

- Fill out and screenshot our personal DIOD schedule template [will be added soon].
- Read the 'Registration' information above for more information about choosing your DIOD Fair session.
Please note: The majority of sessions have at least a 20-minute gap between them to give you time to move between buldings, but please note latecomers will only be admitted to theatres on discretion.
Where to get refreshments
There are a variety of catering options available both on site at LSE and in the local area, including:
- On campus: One of the cafes on the ground floor of CKK will be open.
- Off campus: Visit Kingsway (the main road CKK is on) for a number of supermarkets and cafes, including a Co-op and Pret a Manger.
- A little further away: The Strand and nearby Covent Garden are well served by both cafes and convenience stores.
Please use LSE’s recycling facilities across campus to dispose of packaging responsibly where you can. Water fountains are available across campus, so please bring a refillable bottle if you have one.
