Discover International Organisations Day (DIOD) takes place on Saturday 9 November 2024. It is a day-long, on-campus event where you can attend employer recruitment presentations, enjoy a lunchtime panel discussion featuring representatives from across the sector and speak to employers during morning and afternoon fair sessions. The first session (welcome keynote) starts at 9am and the last session ends at 5pm.
How to get to LSE

Please plan your route well in advance using TfL’s journey planner and make sure you have also checked for any planned engineering works. The Lord Mayor’s Show is taking place on 9 November so please be aware of road closures and some bus diversions. There may also be tube strikes to navigate, so please do make sure you plan your route in advance to ensure you can arrive in time for the Welcome Keynote.
Registration - what to do when you arrive
When you arrive, you must register. Upon registration, you will receive your DIOD wristband, which you will need to show in order to enter any of the sessions during the day.
LSE students
You will be able to register between 8.30am and 3pm at the Lincoln’s Inn entrance to the Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK). Please ensure you have your student ID card with you, as well as a fully charged mobile phone and your CareerHub login details.
External students
You will be able to register between 8.30am and 11am at the Kingsway entrance to the Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK), and between 11am and 3pm at the Lincoln’s Inn entrance to the same building. Please ensure you bring, where relevant, your booking confirmation email and/or your student ID card with you so we can verify your identity against the registration records provided by your university.

DIOD 2024 will take place in the following venues, all of which are marked on the map:
- Cheng Kin Ku Building (CKK) for registration, cafe, presentations and panel discussion (Sheikh Zayed, Thai, Alumni and Wolfson Theatres)
- Old Building (OLD) for presentations (Old Theatre)
- Marshall Building (MAR) for morning and afternoon fair sessions in the Great Hall
On the day, look out for directional signage and maps to help you move around campus, as well as LSE staff who will be on hand to assist you in finding your way.

In general, the fair portion of DIOD is not bookable and attendees can turn up at any time the fair is open. If you are disabled or neurodivergent and would prefer to join the fair at a time where it is guaranteed to be quieter, LSE students can visit CareerHub to book onto our dedicated DIOD fair timeslot, and external students can book onto the same slot by emailing Laura Reid at l.reid@lse.ac.uk. Please note you can only book onto this fair slot if you've already booked a place at DIOD - if you do not already have a DIOD booking, your fair booking will be cancelled.

Sessions will not be able to accommodate all delegates so it is important that you read the presentation and panel schedule in advance of the day and decide which sessions you would like to prioritise.
As sessions are spread out over campus, ensure you leave enough time to move between buildings. Latecomers are only admitted to theatres on discretion.
Where to get refreshments
There are a variety of catering options available both on site at LSE and in the local area.

The Shaw Cafe: Located on the ground floor of CKK, The Shaw Cafe will be open between 8.30am and 5pm serving a range of vegan and vegetarian snacks and drinks.

Off campus, visit Kingsway for a number of supermarkets and cafes, including a Co-op and Pret a Manger.

A little further away, The Strand and Covent Garden are well served by both cafes and convenience stores.
Please utilise LSE’s recycling facilities across campus to dispose of packaging responsibly where you can. Water fountains are available across campus, please bring a refillable bottle.
