Tell us about your current job:
I always wanted to work in the industries I thought were the most international. I also enjoyed very much finance and geopolitics. As such, Energy and International development industries were always on the top of my mind. I joined Total E&P in Canada as an Oil & Gas Economist. As an Economist, we modelled and projected the financials of Total's huge Oil & Gas projects in Canada and the pipelines that allow to take the oil out of the country. After a year of training there, I was sent to Total's subsidiary in Kazakhstan, where I was in charge of the modelling the financials of Total's investments in the country. We help management deciding if it is worth further investing in the country, valuing our oil & gas projects and helping management understand where the value is. I was then hire by BP to work on their biggest subsidiary: Angola, where we are modelling the financials and helping the top management on business decisions: new investments, asset stake sales and projections of the government take.
