These simulations allow you to explore different roles and industries by completing tasks that mirror real day‑to‑day work, helping you build practical skills and gain insight into what a career in that field is really like. 

Through these company‑designed experiences, you can get a realistic preview of workplace expectations, compare your work with model answers, earn certificates of completion, and boost your confidence when applying for internships, graduate schemes and entry-level roles.

What are the details?

The online platform features:

• Work experience through real‑world simulated tasks: You’ll complete a series of resources and hypothetical tasks designed by employers to replicate the day‑to‑day work of interns or early‑career employees. This gives you a realistic, hands‑on way to explore different roles at your own pace, from anywhere.
• Self‑paced, free, and flexible programmes: Most virtual experience programmes take five to six hours to complete, and you can undertake as many as you like. All Forage programmes are completely free, open‑access, and self‑paced—allowing LSE students and alumni to explore multiple career paths without limitation.
