How to make a verification request

  1. Enquirers should first register with HEDD at www.hedd.ac.uk.
  2. Select ‘London School of Economics’ from the list of UK higher education institutions and choose the 'verify a degree award' option.
  3. Log in to HEDD and submit the details you wish to verify:
  • name
  • date of birth
  • degree programme title
  • level of award
  • year of graduation
  • degree classification
  • dates of attendance (if required)

Charge for verification requests

There is a charge of £14 per enquiry plus VAT where appropriate.

Response times

If the information provided matches that held in the dataset, HEDD will automatically verify the information.

If the information cannot be automatically verified HEDD will investigate the request manually and provide a response within five working days.
