About me

Originally from Switzerland, I have worked, studied, and lived in nine countries across five continents over the past twenty years and I speak German, Portuguese and some French. I have an MSc in Economic History (LSE), a BA in Economics (University of St. Gallen, Switzerland), and I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education. Also, I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and in 2019 I won a student-led award in "Mentoring and Personal Development" from LSE.

My professional experience of almost two decades in business, education, government, and NGOs have allowed me to gain insights in areas as diverse as financial services, tech start-ups, economic development, hospitality management, the armed forces, and academic research.

Pursuing a degree at LSE is an exceptional opportunity to grow; at times it may be challenging, but eventually it is a transformational experience. On this journey, I can be your partner to develop your own solutions and voice by building on your existing knowledge and experience; to strengthen your resilience, find sources of motivation, and stay focused; or to talk about any other study-related topic of your interest.

In this spirit I like to remember Samuel Beckett’s quote:
‘Ever tried. Ever failed. No matter. Try Again. Fail again. Fail better.’
