Drop-in sessions

Just turn up.

LSE LIFE hosts a number of drop-in sessions that cover both academic and personal support from a wide variety of our partners.

There is no need to book or to make an appointment for these specialised drop-in sessions. Just come during the indicated times/days. The sessions are located in various areas in the LSE LIFE space, so check with the LSE LIFE reception to find where the session you’re looking for is taking place.

Please note that these drop-in sessions only take place during term time. One-to-one sessions with LSE LIFE study advisers are available both during and outside of term time.

Careers advice

Drop in and speak to Careers Consultants from LSE Careers about any aspect of your career – there’s no need to book. Maybe you have no idea what you want to do, want to discuss some options, check over your CV, or go over an application you’re about to send off. If you want some help before you come in to see us take a look at our interactive tool Career Builder.

Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays, 2 - 5pm. Sign up for sessions at 1:45pm & 3pm.

Academic Support Librarians

All LSE's academic departments and research centres have a dedicated Academic Support Librarian. This experienced team offer specialised subject support and guidance on using the Library and its resources. Drop-in to get advice or find out more about how your ASL can help you.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, 12 - 2pm.

Dissertation data management, data protection & research ethics

Does your dissertation involve human participants? If so, you need to think about research ethics and protecting any data you collect. Or maybe you're not sure how best to manage all the data you're going to collect. Either way, come along and we can provide you with any help you might need!

Thursdays, 4 - 5pm starting in MT week 7 (15th November).
