The PG Peer Buddies is a Postgraduate buddy-ing scheme which matches two new PG students together. As a PG student, you know how it feels to start at a new University. It can be both exciting and daunting. You’ll spend time navigating your new department and campus alongside meeting your peers and making new friends. The PG Peer Buddies scheme has been designed to help make this process as smooth as possible!
What is the scheme?
- LSE LIFE will connect you with a fellow PG student on your programme.
- By discussing your experiences with someone in a similar position, you can help each other to settle into life at LSE.
- You can share useful information you have picked up with one another, and help each other to navigate anything you are unsure of.
- A buddy is, well, as the title suggests! - someone to be a friend and to help you to settle in at LSE.
How does it work?
- LSE LIFE will give you information on the key services offered by the school, alongside suggested activities for you to get involved in, helping you and your buddy to make the most of your time at LSE.
- LIFE will also be on hand to answer any queries during your time as a Buddy.
- Once we have put you and your buddy in contact, we will leave the format and frequency of your meetings up to you.
Is my department included?
- Currently, the PG Peer Buddies scheme runs in the Statistics, Mathematics, International History, International Relations and Accounting departments.
