  • The Eden Centre’s Departmental Advisers can be consulted on all aspects of assessment including assessment choice in programme and course design, diversification of assessment methods, the relationship between formative and summative assessment, and mapping assessment across a programme. You may also wish to explore their Resources and Funding sections.Their Eden Digital team also support staff in the use of technologies to enhance assessment and with the introduction of e-assessment and e-feedback.

  • The Teaching Quality Assurance and Review Office (TQARO) can help ensure that assessment practice is aligned to the School's academic standards and quality assurance mechanisms through the Code of Good Practice.

  • LSE Student Services can provide advice when you are designing, or considering making changes to your assessment method on relevant processes and regulations. If you are considering regulatory questions around areas such as External Examination, Academic Misconduct or any other regulatory question, please contact SSC.Appeals@lse.ac.uk. If you would like information about the implementation of Individual Exam Arrangements or Alternative Assessments as a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010 please contact exams@lse.ac.uk.

  • The Disability and Wellbeing Service can provide more detailed advice about reasonable adjustments for a particular student’s disability: disability-dyslexia@lse.ac.uk.

  • LSE LIFE offers talks and workshops to help students develop the skills they will need to do well on a variety of assessments, be they essays, exams, group projects or research posters. LSE LIFE can also deliver learning activities tailored to departmental, programme, or course needs to help students get started with their essays, or workshops on dissertation structure following departmental criteria.
