2. Communication and visibility

Our work on communication and visibility:

  • Ensuring that all LGBTQ+ inclusion policies are effectively communicated to staff and students.
  • Working with the Internal Communications Team to ensure regular consistent updates on the LGBTQ+ Action Plan and other LGBTQ+ inclusion initiatives
  • Ensuring adequate resources and budget are available for LGBTQ+ inclusion activities at the School
  • Developing a clear statement on inclusion regarding all protected characteristics for our School community.

Outcomes and impact:

  • Increased transparency and visibility of policies.
  • Improved transparency of the LGBTQ+ Action Plan, and therefore accountability.
  • Support for LGBTQ+ History Month and Pride Month, specialised training for Safe Contacts (provided by Galop), and budget for the LSE Students' Union to support the student LGBTQ+ community, which includes their Gender Expression Fund.
  • Clear communication of LSE values and improved transparency for groups with protected characteristics
