Alumni and external teams

Our sporting facilities have a reputation for being some of the best in the area. The cricket squares come top in the pitch rankings in both Saturday and Sunday leagues year on year. The fact that Fulham FC Academy have based themselves here highlights that the quality is of a high and consistent standard.
Annually we host a range of football finals for Kingston and Surrey Schools along with league finals for the Saturday league.

Fulham Football Club Academy

Fulham FC's Academy is proud of its association with the London School of Economics Sportsground.

We have worked together over the past 8 years to create a 'Category 1' environment conducive to producing elite footballers.

Many of the academy's activities are regularly hosted here: our u7-u15 games programme, training sessions and camps, Premier League tournaments and our pre academy elite development centre all use LSE.

LSE Sportsground also hosts the Fulham Foundation and other FFC related activities.

Economicals AFC

Economicals AFC currently run five highly competitive 11 a side teams in the Amateur Football Combination with games taking place each Saturday. We focus on providing a good standard of amateur football for both LSE graduates and non-LSE alumni. Clad in the famous black and white stripes, we have a strong record of success with our 5 teams competing in the top 7 divisions of the AFC. Last season all five sides were promoted with the 4th team winning the London Old Boys Cup while recent seasons have also seen us win a number of league titles and an AFA cup. The club is currently chaired by James Katirai and if you would be interested in joining the club please contact him on 07715363460 or at jameskatirai@hotmail.co.uk. Economicals Rugby Club

The Economicals Rugby Club was founded in 1983 by a number of graduating LSE students who wanted to continue to play together.  Unlike many university-founded rugby clubs, the club has thrived and now runs two XVs playing competitive rugby most weeks.  In 2008 they held a well-attended black tie gala dinner to celebrate the club's 25th anniversary.

1st XV plays in Surrey 2 and competes in the Surrey Shield and RFU Bowl, while the 2nd XV competes in the Surrey Reserve League Conference 4.

"We find the LSE sportsground to be a great standard of facilities when compared to the facilities at clubs that we visit - the pitches and interior areas are both maintained to a much higher standard and Berrylands is convenient for our members to travel to given the swift transport links."
