The Residential Life Events Ambassadors and the Residential Life team are key people who deliver the social activities at your hall. 

About your Residential Life Events Ambassadors

What do Residential Life Events Ambassadors do? 

The Residential Life Events Ambassadors are a group of residents whose role is to assist Residential Life and Subwardens with the events planned for their hall. This includes helping with event set-up and pack down, support promotion and resident engagement, and help create a welcoming atmosphere during events. Events Ambassadors will be paid per month for their contribution in Tango digital rewards vouchers.

How to become a Residential Life Events Ambassador? 

Who can apply for a role?

Being a Residential Life Events Ambassador is an opportunity to network and develop your skills. 

To become a Residential Life Events Ambassador you must be both: 

  • a 2026/27 resident and
  • a full-time registered 2026/27 LSE student

How to apply?

You can submit an online application to the Residential Life team. An application link will be shared by LSE Residential Life via Halls Life platform.

Your application should include:

  • your name, and
  • why you think you are a suitable candidate by answering the set questions.

Your application will be reviewed and assessed by the Warden and Residential Life Officer. They will make the selection based on the skills, experiences and strategies that you demonstrate in your application.

Recruitment timeline

Applications happen during the summer period for the current cohort. Every resident can apply for a role. 

Successful applicants are then invited to their induction training into the role at the beginning of the Autumn Term.

Induction and training

Residential Life Events Ambassadors inductions take place on Saturday 26 September 2026. Applicants must be available to attend and complete training on this day to star work the following week.

The induction includes role-specific training and group activities that help everyone to meet each other. 

We’ll focus on areas that are important for your role, such as mental health awareness and event planning and delivery as well as organisational skills. 

To make sure you are equipped with skills you need for your role, training continues throughout the academic year.

The Residential Life Events Ambassador handbook will be available during the mandatory training session.

Residential Life SharePoint site

Our SharePoint site for Residential Life Events Ambassadors lets you access important information, submit reports, and collaborate. Access is given once the induction training is completed.

Residential Life team

We're a team of staff in Residential Services. We support the Residential Life Events Ambassadors in their work and help them to make the most of their resources. 

We also manage a SharePoint site page to find important information, submit reports, and to collaborate and learn from each other. Log in information is sent to all team members.
