Welcome to the web guide for LSE's first ever Careers in India recruitment and networking event!
On 5 April 2024 we’ll welcome LSE students, graduates, and alumni to WeWork Enam Sambhav in Mumbai for an evening event designed to support you to build your networks, find out more about career opportunities, and promote your valuable international experience.
This is an LSE-exclusive opportunity to meet with India-based and global employers, as well as influential LSE alumni.
Organisations currently confirmed for the event include Athena Education, Connect and Heal, Google, Government of India, Hindustan Unilever Limited, HSV Digital, IPE Global, JP Morgan, KPMG, Kriti Development Praxis and Communications Team, Saifee Burhani Upliftment Trust, Sarvada Legal, Sattva Consulting, Social Beat, Tata India, and Valence Growth Partners. For more information about each organisation, please visit the 'Organisations' section at the bottom of this page.
How to prepare for the event
Ahead of your visit to the Careers in India recruitment and networking event, you might like to:
- Research the organisations beforehand. look at the company’s website and social media to learn about the business, it’s culture and values, roles available and the recruitment process. Employers will expect you to have done a little research in advance; it will enable you to ask intelligent questions during the event Q&As and help you decide if you want to work for the organisation.
- Ask questions. Organisations won't be holding formal interviews during these events. However, asking questions is a good way to get noticed by an employer if you do decide to follow-up with them after the event or make an application to the company.
- Take notes. Write down any new information you learn about organisations and sectors; you can use this information to enhance your job applications and interviews. Keep a note of peoples' names for future networking and of application deadlines to ensure you apply on time!
- Update your CV. Your CV will often be your first opportunity to make an impression with an employer and will frequently be used to make a very quick decision about your potential suitability for their organisation and role. Use our information on CVs, cover letters and application forms, CareerSet or book a one-to-one appointment to get your CV ready.
Registration - what to do when you arrive
Please arrive at the venue on time and register at the LSE desk in the ground floor reception area. Here, you will collect your name badge and then be directed to the event space.
Please ensure you have your student ID card with you (current students only), as well as a fully charged mobile phone with your booking confirmation.
