Discover | Law and legal services is our careers programme for LSE students and recent graduates interested in working in law. 

As well as year-long support through resources and opportunities, Discover | Law and legal services includes a series of careers events where you can hear from and network with law firms who are especially keen to meet with LSE students. Across these events, you can attend sector-specific skills development sessions, a recruitment and networking session with a variety of law firms, as well as alumni events.

Online tools, resources, and job opportunities

There are a number of events taking place externally and a range of digital resources you can access which will allow you to network and engage with different firms and deepen your understanding of the law and legal services sector.

  • Legal Cheek virtual law fairs – a range of virtual fairs during the autumn
  • All About Law – virtual law fair and a range of other resources.
  • LawCareers.net – hosts a number of events to support you with connecting with law firms, exploring skills, attributes and techniques that are necessary to launch a career at a law firm.  In depth information on getting into law.
  • Bar Council – Pupillage Fair  – designed in partnership with the Inns of Court and Specialist Bar Associations, The Bar Council’s Pupillage Fair is the largest recruitment event for students and graduates aspiring to join the Bar of England and Wales. You can also find out about the barrister pathway on their site.
  • targetjobs Law hub – legal sector advice and resources on how to become a solicitor or barrister, as well as the work experience, skills and qualities that will make you a success.
