LSE Careers provide careers education, information and advice through one-to-one careers appointments and by designing and organising careers events. We also work with over 100 employers of various sizes across different sectors and connect them with the LSE student body through a series of opportunities over the academic year.

Our commitment to you
We know it’s important for many of our students that they are able to establish their career goals and access opportunities to develop relevant skills, experience and connections whilst at LSE. Joining and engaging in a student society is a great way to do this and we have a role that works across LSESU and LSE Careers is dedicated to supporting student groups in relation to career development opportunities.
We value your expertise
We acknowledge and appreciate the instrumental role played by student societies in enhancing the student experience at LSE. We are committed to engaging with all students – including LSESU student societies – as partners and giving you opportunities to influence and shape our work. We encourage you to share your feedback and insights with us, as well as ideas of how we can co-create and work together.
Working in collaboration with LSE Careers
If you would like to collaborate with us or would simply like some guidance on running a successful event, please get in touch. Our team is assigned to support specific academic departments and sectors. If you’d like to collaborate with LSE Careers to design and deliver an event, please review our ‘Meet the team’ page to help you decide who to reach out to.
Over the summer period, we dedicate considerable time to planning for the academic year ahead. During this time, we are interested in exploring collaboration on careers related events, and particularly those which focus on diversity and inclusion, technology and global careers. We have previously collaborated with societies on types of events including:
- Panel discussions
- Occupational talks
- Networking evenings
- Skills workshops
We can also support you with:
- Advice around running and delivering events
- Scheduling events to avoid clashes and/or duplication
- Signposting to careers related events
Building relationships and maintaining regular communication are key to successful engagement with employers and alumni. Be proactive, professional, and genuine in your interactions, and continually assess and adapt your strategies based on feedback and results.
