Summer Volunteering Scheme for Disabled Students

The Summer Volunteering Scheme, run by the LSE Volunteer Centre in collaboration with LSE Careers, provides Disabled students at LSE with a range of volunteering opportunities in collaboration with charity partners to enhance accessibility and address barriers to volunteering due to disability or illness.

FoodCycle LSE

FoodCycle LSE is one of 14 FoodCycle Hubs currently operating around the UK.

FoodCycle is an award-winning national charity that builds communities by combining volunteers, surplus food and empty kitchen space to create a tasty and nutritious 3 course meal for people at risk of food poverty and social isolation.

LSESU Amnesty International Society

LSESU Amnesty International Society is one of the largest campaigning groups at LSE and is part of a network of over one hundred Amnesty student groups standing up for human rights in universities across the UK.

The Society's aims are threefold: to campaign, to raise awareness, and to fundraise for the protection of human rights.

LSESU Raising and Giving (RAG)

RAG is the charitable and fundraising arm of the LSE Students Union. One of the largest student bodies on campus, RAG facilitates and supports student fundraising on and off campus, as well as running a programme of events to support its chosen charities (which are carefully selected on an annual basis).

LSE Student Volunteering Ambassadors

Each year the LSE Volunteer Centre recruits a number of students to act as ambassadors for volunteering on campus. This normally involves being on stalls around campus, coming up with campaigns and ideas to promote volunteering at LSE, writing blogs, and telling other LSE students how fantastic volunteering is.

The Student Volunteering Ambassador programme aims to inspire LSE students to volunteer. As a student ambassador you'll share your stories with your fellow students as well as working together with a group of like-minded students on ways to promote the benefits of volunteering on campus.

Applications for the 2017-18 programme will be open till 8 October 2017. You can find all information on LSE CareerHub and if you have any questions about the application process or programme you can email to volunteer@lse.ac.uk.

LSE Peer Support Programme

LSE wants your studying and working environment to be welcoming and inclusive. Yet at times, this environment can be challenging and tough. At these times times it can be useful to speak to somebody who has been through something similar and the LSE Peer Support Programme seeks to be reflective of the diversity of the LSE student body as a whole. LSESU Campaigns Network

The LSE Students’ Union Campaigns Network exists to support student campaigners at LSE. We can help you lead your own campaign or you can attend sessions to build up your skills to help others, as well as be the first to hear about new campaigns on campus.

LSE Sustainability

LSE Sustainability works to continuously improve the environmental impact of the School by working with staff and students. Volunteering opportunities range from beekeeping to gardening to environmental auditing. There are lots of ways to get involved in sustainability at LSE throughout the year, whether it's through one-off opportunities or regular volunteering. We welcome all enthusiastic students and people looking to make a positive impact at LSE. More information can be found on their website.
