Dry mixed recycling (DMR) bins can be found throughout campus and residences. They are often coloured green. All commonly recyclable material should be placed in these bins, including dry paper waste, newspapers, office paper, magazines, corrugated cardboard, cereal boxes and card, clean, empty drinks cans and food tins, plastic packaging films, rinsed out milk bottles, empty drinks bottles, clean salad trays, rinsed out margarin tubs and microwave meal trays.
Please DO NOT put the following items in the DMR bins: takeaway cups, crisps packets, sweet wrappers, food waste, liquids, polystyrene, glass, ceramics, wood, textiles, hard/rigid plastic (e.g. pipes, drums or other non-compactable plastic items), containers with any residue of food or hazardous materials (e.g. bleach bottles or paint tins).
Only clear sacks should be used for DMR.
