How to be part of LSE

Being an Academic and Career Mentor, a Peer Tutor and an SSLC representative during my time here, has allowed me to show my appreciation and give back to this community from which I’ve gained so much!

There are so many ways you can get involved and be part of our LSE community! 

From conducting impactful research, being a mentor or a peer supporter, or by giving your time to make a difference, you can help to shape LSE while developing your skills.

Behavioural Research Lab - get paid to participate in world class behavioural research in state-of-the-art facilities at LSE.

LSE GROUPS - is an immersive, engaging and a unique learning experience offering undergraduates the chance to do original research and present it to their peers.

Student Academic Mentors - second and third year student mentors are matched with incoming first year student mentees from the same department to help new students.

Off Campus Support Scheme - help new undergraduate and General Course students who don't live in LSE halls connect with each other and our community.

Peer supporters - get trained to provide a crucial service for students to talk to other students about anything they are worried about.

LSESU Teaching Excellence Awards - recognise and nominate members of staff who have made a difference or had a positive impact on your time at LSE.

Volunteering - find a volunteering placement at a charity or not-for-profit organisation during your time studying at LSE, or do one-off opportunities.
