Assessments with an asterisk(*)

If an asterisk(*) shows against an assessment this means either

  • You have a confirmed deferral in place for that assessment.
  • You were not able to take the assessment during IRDAP 2023 because of the impact of the marking and assessment boycott in Summer 2023.

Remember that you may have had assessments automatically deferred as a result of successfully applying for Repeat Teaching.

Marks for all assessments (including IRDAP) will show
You'll only see one overall course mark and grade for the year

If you took an assessment during IRDAP 2024 then this mark will appear in addition to the mark from the 2023/24 academic year. However, you will only see one overall grade for the course. For example:

  • If you deferred a piece of coursework from the 2022/24 academic year to IRDAP 2024 an asterisk will show against the assessment for the academic year and a mark will show for IRDAP 2024. The mark from IRDAP will have been used in calculating your overall grade for the course in 2023/24.
  • If you achieved a mark of 5 in an exam in January 2024 then resat the exam in IRDAP 2024 achieving a mark of 70 both marks will show. The mark of 70 will have been used in calculating your overall grade for the course (but remember the grade will have been capped).

F = Fail [0-39%]
NA = At least one component of assessment has been deferred
AB = Absent from all components of assessment
I = Incomplete (i.e. you were absent from at least one component of assessment)

Exceptional Circumstances

If you have submitted Exceptional Circumstances, you should have received, or will shortly receive an email from your Department or the Student Regulations Team informing you of the Exam Board’s Decision.
