There will be a range of events taking place before, during and after, Welcome. Some events are compulsory and others are optional. In addition to the compulsory events you need to attend, such as your Welcome Presentation, Campus Enrolment and Departmental Welcome events, you can explore a range of optional events.

Local History Tours

Are you interested in learning about the history of the LSE campus and the surrounding areas? Register for a professional history tour which will take you on a journey back in time. We will be hosting walking local history tours every day during Welcome 2026, excluding weekends.

Student-led campus tours

Student-led campus tours will take place throughout Welcome 2026 helping you to get to know the campus from a student perspective.The tours will show you all of the key places that you need to know on campus.

Your tour guide will be an experienced LSE student who can introduce you to key locations, as well as tell you a bit about the past and future of the school.

Tours will depart every 10 minutes between 10am and 4pm from the campus tour starting point at John Watkins Plaza (beside the Library). No booking required - just turn up! However you may need to wait a while at peak times.
