Campus Enrolment is compulsory and will take place in the Great Hall, Marshall Building on Monday 19 September 2022. The Dean of the General Course, Mark Hoffman, will deliver a welcome presentation for all General Course students on Monday 19 September 2022 3:00pm in the Old Theatre (ground floor of the Old Building).

This compulsory session will provide information designed to help you get the most out of your time at the School.

You are also encouraged to sign-up to attend the School’s Welcome Presentation as part of your online pre-enrolment process. Information about the Welcome Presentation is available on the Welcome website.

Join your new classmates on a voyage down the River Thames! You'll meet your fellow Study Abroad students as well as the Dean and the rest of the General Course team over drinks and snacks, all whilst taking in the sights of London’s famous landmarks. The Boat Party will take place in the evening of Monday 19 September 2022 so save the date!

Your department will invite you to a number of orientation events during Welcome 2022. Some of these will be compulsory, others may be optional.

This varies by department, so please refer to the information provided by your department for guidance.

Moving to London is exciting, but it can also feel daunting. It can be hard and overwhelming to navigate a new city, new school and new people.

The Off Campus Support Scheme (OCSS) helps first year undergraduate and general course students who do not live in halls of residence settle into London life.

The Dean of the General Course would like to meet with each General Course student at least once during your first weeks at LSE. He will be holding informal ‘drop-in’ office hours in which you are encouraged to stop by and say hello, and ask any questions or share any problems or concerns you may have.
