Digital Education team

The Digital Education team within the Eden Centre provides specialist knowledge and expertise in Technology Enhanced Education (TEL).

The team work in partnership with central support services to offer advice and support in the effective use of technologies in teaching, learning and assessment.

Whether you are interested in enhancing in-class learning, would like to develop your own digital teaching skills, or have ideas you would like to explore in supporting your students' learning outside face-to-face meetings, or want advice on how to improve your Moodle course design, we are here to support you.

You can find out more about us via our short staff biographies on our People page. These also list which learning technologists act as advisers for which departments.

Requesting help & support

We offer individual and project consultation, can deliver bespoke workshops to departments, we run a range of TEL-related workshops and deliver training. We have developed a list of case studies that we hope might inspire you to develop your own ideas, with our help.

Core Learning Technologies

We support the effective use of a range of learning technologies. You can find links to the technologies themselves and our guidance below:

You can also consult a list of campus-wide Hybrid/Hybrid Lite teaching rooms on the LSE DTS site.

Please visit our Wiki Guides for updated information and support in using LSE Core learning technologies.

Staff Development

The Digital Education team contribute to several sessions that are run via the Academic Development workshops programme. We also contribute to LSE communities of practice and are integral to the Education Symposium and Forums. We are happy to provide support for teaching and professional services staff that are new to LSE. We can also arrange for a bespoke departmental or one to one session if required. Reward and Recognition

Creative and engaging teaching practice is found at the LSE across all disciplines. Over the years, the team has worked with various academics from all disciplines on divergent projects. LSE Innovators integrate change to enhance the student experience, renew their own teaching practice and transform the way their discipline is shaped and taught, often by integrating educational technology. Each LSE Innovator case study is made up of a video and a short profile of the Innovator and their practices. There will be inspirational ideas that you can develop in your own teaching, and links about how the Digital Education team can support you.
