What does the Hardware Asset Management team do?

The Hardware Asset Management (HAM) team are responsible for the life cycle of end user hardware for both professional service divisions and academic departments.

The team cover the process of purchasing, configuration, issuing and disposal of hardware.  They can also procure associated software licences and provide advice of both hardware and software purchases via tech.support@lse.ac.uk

The team also performs tasks such as:

  • Quotes, raising orders
  • Managing supplier deliveries
  • Asset management
  • Device configuration
  • Issuing and receiving returned devices
  • Loan of devices
  • Warranty/out of warranty repairs

The team are not responsible for any of the following:

  • AV hardware
  • Desktop or laptop support
  • Licences and software for teaching or home use

The HAM team are located in Room S53 in St Clements (STC) on the ground floor.
