Living in halls

Your hall is a great place to get involved in sustainability at LSE, and there are a number of ways you can help to reduce the environmental impact of your halls.

Reduce the Juice

This year all LSE managed Halls of Residence are taking part in Reduce the Juice which aim to reduce energy and water consumption, and to improve recycling rates. Sign up to become a Sustainability Ambassador and help your halls win £250!

Green Impact

Halls are competing to implement sustainable actions and achieve either a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum award for their work. Contact your Hall Manager or the Sustainability Team (estates.sustainability@lse.ac.uk) to find out how you can help!

ReLove

When students move out of halls they donate their unwanted items to Relove. Every year around 8-9 tonnes of unwanted items are donated to the British Heart Foundation End of Term Clear Out. Many students also volunteer with LSE Foodcycle and the Trussel Trust, repurposing food.
