Review & promotion

Review periods are used to enable managers to monitor progress during the initial stages of an appointment as well as allowing new starters to adapt to their new environment.

Promotion for support staff will be based on the role an individual carries out changing significantly, evidenced by a HERA re-evaluation of the role.

Grading process

HERA (Higher Education Role Analysis) is the system used by the school to evaluate roles during the recruitment and promotion of professional services staff.

Jobs are assessed using a scoring system that explores examples, supported by evidence, of the duties and responsibilities involved.
