From July 2025 both provisional marks and new final results will be published in Student LfY. You can see the dates that results will published on Publication of Results.
You can find your results by navigating to My Assessments and then clicking on either Provisional Marks or Final Results. Visit Publication of Results to find out the difference between provisional marks and final results.
The two new screens in Student LSE for You:
- Have been designed with you in mind. The data is displayed in a way that works for students. It's not displayed as we store it in the student records system, it's displayed how you'd like to view it.
- Are truly mobile friendly. You should be able to access provisional marks and final results using your mobile device with no problems.
- Offer you the option to group final results by year or by course. This is super helpful if you have had to take assessments from one course over a number of years.
- Clarify when you have deferred or been absent from an assessment.
- Allow you to see as much or little detail as you want.
- Show results for all taught students. They also show results for research students that have taken taught courses.
- Will not allow you to see your results if you have a debt to LSE or if the Student Services Centre have imposed a block.
If you have a question about your results then you please check these webpages:
Since July 2023 we've also provided specific guidance for each set of marks/results that we've published. You can access these using the links below:
You can also contact the Student Services Centre if you have a question or need advice about your results. For questions about what shows on the screens select Results and Awards. For advice and support about what comes next select Engaging with my studies.
We're really keen to hear to know whether you think the new screens give you the data in a way that is easy to understand. If you'd like to provide feedback on the layout and functionality of the screens then use the form below.
You will not normally get a response to any submissions made here. If you have a question about your results then please contact the Student Services Centre.
For details of how to obtain official confirmation of your results and how to share your results with third parties visit the following webpages.
Where appropriate, Academic staff can view a mirror image of a students' provisional marks or final results via Staff LfY - Academic View.
Professional services staff, Department Tutors and Programme Directors can access these screens via Staff LfY - Department View
We encourage colleagues to view provisional marks and final results using these screens, so that you're seeing exactly the same thing as your students. However, for the time being, staff can continue to view student results via the Photographs app in 'old' LSE for You - we expect this service to be discontinued in Autumn Term 2025.
The provisional marks and final results screens are the next step in our journey to share your assessment marks and results via Student LfY so that you have a single place to accurately view your results once they've been stored centrally.
The temporary Historic Results Screen was released in April 2025 as a beta product. This screen dispalyed results from the 2014/15 to 2023/24 academic years (inclusive). We very deliberately started with historic results because you already knew these marks and it gave us space to make sure that we're doing everything correctly.
The feedback on the historic results screen was really positive with no errors reported so we're confident that we can publish new results using Student LfY in July 2025. These new screens add the functionality to manage new results whether they are provisional or final. The new screens have undergone extensive testing but we're always really keen to hear your feedback as we continue with this work.
In the future we hope to be able to provide context specific support and guidance on the results screens themselves (rather than directing you off to a webpage) and potentially even the ability to generate your own intermediate transcript.
